Winner_imageOur time in the deliciously crisp northern part of the world is nearly over. It’s our last week abroad, but wow, what a week! I saw my first big brown bear (‘downtown’ in Whistler Village, no less), bought my first pair of Hunter wellies (in ‘steel blue’ – *love*) – and in good time too, because I’ve not only worn them to slosh through the snow here in Canada BUT I can don them when I head to England next year… as the new Back-Roads Touring Blogger! <insert Homer Simpson “whoo hoo” here> 😉

Back in October I posted my initial bid (screen-captured below) in order to be considered by Escape Travel for this amazing opportunity. I’m a keen traveller and travel blogger and am excited, honoured and so grateful that I’ll have the opportunity to travel back to the beautiful UK next year to experience and write about a fabulous, historical journey through the romantic, ancient, winding back roads of England. What a dream come true!

Thanks to those of you who supported and encouraged me via Facebook and Twitter on this campaign. I can’t wait to plan this trip with Escape Travel as the new blogger for Back-Roads Touring, and hope you’ll keep an eye out for the adventure online in 2012. S x

Escape Travel are so fortunate to have you as their Back Roads Blogger.. It is a good thing a bear did not eat you in Whistler. Would hate to think that you missed out on this opportunity. Looking forward to hearing of your adventures in England on your next trip. As always, always enjoy your blogs, including this one.
